The Pre-Pharmacy Program at NMSU, in cooperation with the UNM College of Pharmacy, present:

EARLY ASSURANCE PROGRAM
for PRE-PHARMACY STUDENTS

NMSU students interested in pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and an exciting career as a pharmacist should consider applying to pharmacy school via the Early Assurance Program (EAP). Students can secure a spot in the UNM College of Pharmacy (COP) PharmD program up to two years early.

When do EAP students apply to pharmacy school? A perk of the program is that EAP students will actually have their interview and possibly admissions decision earlier! To figure out when is the best time to apply, meet with our advisors.

The EAP is open to NMSU freshmen and sophomore undergraduate students who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed at least 30 hours of college credit by the end of the spring semester. Click here for further EAP Requirements .

Personalized advising sessions will be provided each semester to assure EAP students are following the pre-pharmacy curriculum. Click here for other EAP Benefits .

Still wondering if pharmacy is the right career choice for you? Join the NMSU Pre-Pharmacy Society. As active members students will become more familiar with the field of pharmacy and have the opportunity to network with the UNM COP. To learn more about how pharmacists are medication experts and valued members of a healthcare team, check out the Pharmacy is Right for Me website!

Online applications are reviewed twice per year. For SPRING acceptance please apply by December 1. For FALL acceptance please apply by April 1.
Additionally, you will be asked to submit an UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. Please email that document to Kathryn Gentsch , Sr. Student Success Specialist at UNM COP at: KmGentsch@salud.unm.edu.
For more information about your eligibility and to be advised about the curriculum, please contact NMSU Pre-Pharmacy Program Director Amy Buesing at: abuesing@nmsu.edu.
